Denuvo Games — Borrowing Account
Denuvo is a DRM (Digital Rights Management) system used by some games. These games require an extra step — you must borrow the seller's Steam account to activate the Denuvo licence on your machine before you can play from your own account.
Danger
Denuvo games will NOT work without borrowing an account from your seller. You cannot skip this step.
How to Identify a Denuvo Game
In the ONENNABE Store tab, Denuvo games will be tagged with the Denuvo label on the game card.
Step-by-Step: Playing a Denuvo Game
- Find the game in the Store tab — confirm it has the
Denuvotag - Click the game card → click Enable Auto Update in ONENNABE
- Go to Steam and download the game normally
- Close Steam Unlock ONENNABE — do this before the next step
- Contact your seller and ask to borrow the account for your game
- Switch Steam to the seller's account using the credentials they provide
- Launch the game and play until you reach the main menu
- Switch Steam back to your own account
- Launch and play from your own account — enjoy!
Important Rules
Close ONENNABE First
You must close ONENNABE before switching to the seller's account. If ONENNABE is still open, the process may not work correctly.
- You must reach the main menu on the seller's account — just launching the game is not enough. Denuvo requires a brief online validation session.
- Switch back to your own account promptly after reaching the main menu. Do not use the seller's account for anything else.
- Each account borrow has a session limit. Only use it to launch the game to the main menu.
Exception — Resident Evil Requiem
Special Case
Resident Evil Requiem cannot be played by switching back to your own account. This game must be played entirely from the seller's account in Steam Offline Mode. Do NOT switch back to your own account for this title. Ask your seller for specific instructions.
Troubleshooting
Game says "not available" after switching back to my account
Make sure you reached the main menu on the seller's account before switching back. If you did, restart Steam and try again.
Game crashes or shows a Denuvo error
The Denuvo session may have expired. Contact your seller to borrow the account again.
Seller's account credentials not working
Contact your seller directly via the platform you purchased from (TikTok/Shopee chat or Discord DM).
I forgot to close ONENNABE before switching accounts
Close ONENNABE now, switch to the seller's account, launch to main menu, switch back, then reopen ONENNABE.
